Side events are unofficial gatherings organized independently by conference attendees who wish to host a meetup or get-togethers during WP Suomi. While the organizers of these events agree to follow the Code of Conduct, the official WP Suomi team is not involved in their planning or execution.

Join us for an evening of socializing, networking, and catching up, no matter if you’re a familiar face or joining for the very first time. You’ll meet multidisciplinary experts working with WordPress.
The venue for the pre-party is the restaurant Siipiweikot in Oulu. Snacks and drinks will also be served. Register for the pre-party today and bring your colleagues, too. The event is free, but you will need a ticket for entry. Welcome!

Would you like to organize a side event during WP Suomi?
We’ll review all submitted side event proposals and publish those that are approved. To be approved, your event should be open and accessible to all WP Suomi participants and help foster community and connection. The event must be held between October 15-17, 2026. Thursday after working hours, Friday 5-8pm between actual main event and the after-party, and Saturday are good times to organize an side event. All side events are expected to follow the Code of Conduct.
